Somatic Movement
Somatic Movement
These spaces are an hour for you, in the morning…to ground, move any energy that needs to move, then ground again, ready to take on your day.
Step, jump or float your way into your day by releasing & energising to music.
A chance for you to tap into your body's wisdom and move - or be still - however you want to. It's all about giving your body what it needs...connecting to your body moment to moment.
Don't worry if you're new to this! I guide you gently into your body to start & give prompts throughout.
If you're a more seasoned dancer/ mover/ shaker/ somatic pro, take or leave whatever feels good & flow through the space at your own pace.
You don't need any experience to start. You're also super welcome if you know what you're doing & just want a morning space to practice & enjoy.
These are perfect sessions for you, if you:
✨ Love a kitchen disco but would like to be around other people/ energy to dance
✨Enjoy a gentle intro, mixed with a few bangers for good measure (think anything from 80s rock, to 90s pop, to a bit of dirty drum & bass)
✨Miss going clubbing or dancing in bars but don't drink alcohol or want to stay up that late any more!
✨Have fallen out of love with your regular fitness routine & want to release energy & energise yourself in a more fun way
✨Want to learn how to connect with your body more deeply through movement
Over recent years, I’ve learned the power of stillness, meditation & a regulated nervous system so weave that into my life & work.
I’m a somatic coach so somatic movement sessions are a natural extension to that practice. I value how powerful our bodies are & encourage us to express ourselves in whatever way feels good & safe.
How the sessions work
This is a music-led somatic movement session where you’re invited to move, pause, rest, or be still, however your body needs in that moment.
There’s no choreography to learn and nothing to get “right”.
You can step, sway, jump, stretch, lie down, or simply listen. You’re always in control.
Sarah will gently guide you into the session and offer prompts throughout.
If you’re new, you’ll be supported from the start. If you’re more experienced, you’re free to take or leave anything and flow at your own pace.
Before You Arrive
Wear comfortable clothes you can move freely in
Bring water
You may want layers, bodies warm up and cool down differently
Barefoot or trainers are both welcome
During the Session
Move in whatever way feels good, or don’t move at all
Rest whenever you need
There’s no pressure to perform, copy, or keep up
Follow the music, resist it, or ignore it entirely
The playlists are carefully curated and may include anything from 80s rock and 90s pop to drum & bass, gentle moments mixed with energising tracks.
